Our Investigation
To better understand the public's perception on discarded disposable masks, we made an online questionnaire survey.
24% of people change their disposable masks in less than four hours, 44% change every four to eight hours, and 32% change a new one after more than eight hours.

The majority of individuals discard used disposable masks into the waste bin.
Commonness of seeing masks discard on the street
More than 80% of people have seen discarded masks on the street.
Public awareness
People were able to identify the negative impact of improper disposal of masks, but they were less aware of the impact on the ecosystem and climate.
